Introduction

The best way to establish a habit of being productive is stay being productive. Consistency is truly a virtue when it comes to forming a course of action you want to take. The habit of being productive involves massive amounts of effort and consistency to always stay on top of one’s game.  The loose ends and other insignificant details that various tasks usually involve should be adequately managed. Letting these lose out of one’s control will only dishearten whatever momentum one has already established.

Things such as making sure deadlines are met and making sure that quality output is guaranteed should be on top of the priority list in the overall productivity goals. Keeping an eye on your performance and progress is an important factor to consider. Remember that productivity is not only crossing out items in your to-do list. There are some that have quantity as the measure of productivity (production factories)  but nonetheless the things that I have already mentioned should still be part of the effort.

Since I’m talking here about the habit of staying productive, there are certain practices that one should follow to not fall out of the productivity flow. Staying on the stream and gliding over it smoothly assures one of successful sailing toward one’s productive goals. There are few things that one can do to consistently maintain the habit of being productive:

1. The Habit Of To-Do List

Capture all the things that you need to do. The To-Do List enables you to get a perspective of your goals. Your To-Do List items give you the blueprint of how to achieve the goals. It also help you determine the right system to use in tackling your actions.

2. The Habit Of Getting Things Done

Your To-Do List only becomes effective and useful if you allow yourself to get into taking action. Identify the items in your to-do list that need your action and the items that you can delegate to others. Following a flow in your work is important for productivity.

3. The Habit Of Celebrating Milestones

Your work can become a cycle of redundancy and fall to fangs of boredom. Achieving the productive state can be impervious when your habit of To-Do List and Getting Things Done stay in the cyclic tandem without taking time to look back and celebrate your achievements.
