We have all been faced with the nightmarish truth that comes with office jobs: we might have to work the holidays.
Most of us think of ways to get out of it, we try trading shifts, we play sick a week before and make it progress to pneumonia, or we just hide under our desks.
The fact is, we still end up celebrating a cubicle Christmas once in a while. If you’re the poor soul missing the Holidays this year, try keeping the spirit alive by surrounding yourself in festive office décor.
Thanks to the power of USB you can add personality this Holiday season to keep you from becoming a Scrooge. Here are a few of the more popular items from Halloween to Christmas to keep your Holiday spirits up:
Halloween
If you are stuck working during this ghoulishly fun holiday, why not make the best of it. Here are some items to turn your cubicle into a hauntingly good time:
Personalized Halloween Pumpkin 4 Port USB hub:
If you plan to decorate your office space for the holidays you will need a few extra USB ports. This hub comes decorated for Halloween but allows you to change the picture to whatever you want. Change it to a turkey or Christmas tree to match other Holidays or even add a bit of you in it by placing a picture of family or friends.
USB Pumpkin Lights:
This set of 8 lights works on both PC and Mac. Plug them into an available USB port to create a glow of Halloween.
Halloween Bat iPod Speakers:
Set the spook with your favorite Halloween tracks by screaming them through these Halloween iPod speakers. It comes with a kickstand for easy propping and can be powered either by USB or AAA batteries.
USB Spooky Skull:
Are you tired of having your pens turn up missing, do you know your co-workers are helping themselves to your post-its? This spooky skull not only glows while plugged into the USB, it also has a motion detector that lets out a loud horrific scream when someone walks in front of it. Use it as a Halloween prank or to guard your cubicle from the vultures you work with.
Thanksgiving
This is the season for giving thanks. If your boss gave you thanks for working, then perhaps it’s a good time to celebrate in your cubicle, the way the pilgrims did.
Fiber Optic Turkey:
This turkey doesn’t run on USB but it is a great way to remind yourself of what is waiting at home.
Plug it into a regular outlet and this fat bird lights up.
USB Lunch Bag Warmer:
Thanksgiving is more about food than anything else. If you are stuck riding the cubicle, don’t do it on an empty stomach. Heat your Thanksgiving dinner in the USB lunch bag warmer and enjoy your turkey and yams without waiting to get home.
Christmas
This is the one holiday we would like to avoid working. We wish we could be with our families, opening gifts, over eating, and enjoying time together. This year decorate your cubicle to bring a bit of cheer to your job.
USB Computer Christmas Kit:
This kit has a lot of style in a small package. Use it to dress up your computer and show your Christmas spirit.
The strands of package lights will brighten your day after being plugged into the USB port.
Handhelditems USB Christmas Tree with multicolor LED’s:
This beautiful little tree is a great way to bring the glamour of Christmas to your cubicle. Plug it into the USB port and watch it change colors to brighten your holiday.
USB Snowing Christmas Tree Globe with Music:
If you require more joy this season then you may want to deck the halls with this USB snowing Christmas tree globe. Plug it into the USB and press the button to watch the snow fall as the tree changes colors, and it begins to sing your favorite Christmas carols. It comes with 18 songs to brighten your day and make you jolly.
Even if Scrooge made you miss the holidays, it doesn’t mean you can’t share your joy with the ones around you. Take some time to deck out your cubicle and enjoy the seasons in your rectangular winter wonderland.
